We get it: you might not be in your right mind when you come into a bail bondsman’s office looking for a jail bond. You’ve probably never needed to post bail for someone before, and the shock and newness of it all can be very disconcerting. (And if you have posted bail many times before for someone, you’re still probably tired, frustrated, and/or angry.)

So we understand if you haven’t yet taken the time to do your research into the best ways to deal with your bond situation. In fact, you should simply consider yourself lucky that you’ve made your way to J & J Bail Bonds, because we’re one of the good guys in the industry!

Have Some Information

There are four basic pieces of information that will expedite the process.

Know Their Name: If you are seeking bail for your son or daughter, there’s no doubt that you know their full name. But if you’re being nice to a friend from the bar and the only thing that pops up on your cell phone when he calls is “Booger,” it’s going to be a lot harder to look them up. (All is not lost, though, because you may be able to identify them from their picture on the jail’s website. Of course, in order to do that, you need to…)

Know Where They’re Being Kept: Again, there’s a good chance that we can help you even if you don’t know what jail they’re being kept in. We can search them all, but more than likely they are in the jail closest to where they were arrested.

Know Their Booking Number: If you don’t know their booking number, we can still help. Again, the booking number can help the process go faster

Know How Much Bail You Need: We can find out the exact amount of the bail bond, but knowing how much you need beforehand can help you decide how you’ll be paying. Which brings us to the next thing you should bring…

Bring Payment

Payment is, of course, a very important part of the bail bonds process. Cash is king, but we take all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. You can also bring your checkbook and we’ll run a quick check on the account to ensure that it is valid and that there are funds available.

If you don’t have any of these options available to you, we’d be happy to talk with you about a short-term loan. If you know you’ll be needing one of these, you’ll want to be sure to have identification on you and your social security on hand…basically the same information you’d need in applying for any loan.

We want to make your experience obtaining bail money as easy as possible. Simply bring us as much information as you can and we’ll do everything we can to get you out of here as quickly as possible, usually in under 30 minutes. We know you don’t want to spend the day at a 24-hour bail bond agency and that you want your relative (or Booger) out of jail as quickly as possible. Contact us today to get the process started!
